The Right Desk

A few months ago I dm’d a woman famous for her manifestation workshops. To my surprise she wrote back, interested in receiving a pocket angel. I was really excited, as my mantra for several months had been, “the pocket angels just need to land on the right desk.” I hurriedly packed three angels in a pretty pink box and Fed Ex’d them to Ibiza, Spain. Customs had other plans, I guess, and five weeks later, Faith, Christine, and Tabitha, three of my favorite angels returned to me. At first I could not open the box. I was disappointed, frustrated at the loss of time and money, sure, but mostly bummed that they never got to sit on that fancy desk, looking out at the crystalline waters and sunsets of Ibiza, working their magic. I only opened them when I woke one morning with the thought, “maybe I am the right desk.” Maybe I have everything I need right here. Maybe the answers aren’t outside of me. I have spent several weeks now considering what I bring to the table, or, in this case, desk.

Several months ago I started asking my friends, “What do you like most about yourself?” I was delighted by their answers, echoing “me too, me too, I also like that about you.” When the tables were turned and they asked me what I liked best about myself I replied, without hesitation, “I tell good stories.” This reminded me of a conversation I had with a mentor of mine almost a decade ago. I asked him how to make a million dollars and he said, “Oh that is easy. You just have to know what you are good at and then do it.”

It has taken me that decade to not only fully understand that answer, but to be brave enough to commit to doing what I am actually good at. I am a good teacher. I am good at making things look pretty. I am good at fostering connections, at listening, and encouraging, at comforting. I am good at forgiving. I am a good leader. I am good at stillness. I am a master at multitasking. I am a good sharer. And indeed, I am a hell of a storyteller. All that to say, I have decided to expand this website to include new offerings, one of which is an expansion of my Venn diagram readings. I started doing Venn diagram readings several years ago as a way to help others connect with their intuition and guides. Clients have the option of adding crystal grid, created, photographed, and emailed to them prior to our 30 minute phone call. The grid acts as a conduit, a way for me to connect with your energy prior to creating the automatic drawing, which I initially saw as a Venn diagram. The Venn drawing starts with your name. The left side represents the feminine, the right, the masculine. Your guides communicate with us through this channel. I send you a copy of the drawing prior to the reading so that you can have it on hand as we discuss it. You can even order a pocket angel attuned to your reading!

In addition to the re-emergence of the readings, I will begin to share glimpses into the Pocket Angel Oracle deck, something I hope to publish sooner than later, as well as custom ceramic rattles that are designed to help you call in your guides. Like I said … master multitasker! These things will emerge in their own divine timing, slowly at first, and then in full swing when I officially retire from teaching (!).

I am so looking forward to connecting with you. I will be at my desk. You can sit anywhere you like.
